BetMGM Casino review
The largest Ontario-facing casino brand by product breadth, with a clearly identified registered entity and a public affiliate programme that documents its Ontario terms. Two AGCO monetary penalties for advertising breaches are on the public record and sit against it.
Verdict
What we found
BetMGM has been in Ontario since the market opened in April 2022, and the entity behind it — BetMGM Canada Inc., the Entain and MGM Resorts joint venture — is one of the easiest to trace in the iGaming Ontario directory. It is also the operator with the longest AGCO enforcement record on this list: C$48,000 in 2022 under the advertising standards, and a further C$110,000 in March 2025 for offering cash to new customers who signed up and deposited. We rate the product's breadth and the clarity of its corporate chain highly, and the advertising record is what keeps its regulatory score from being the highest here.
Our score
4.7
out of 5, across six weighted criteria
Affiliate link. 19+ and physically located in Ontario.
Registered entity: BetMGM Canada Inc. (joint venture of Entain plc and MGM Resorts International)
Registration: AGCO-registered · iGO agreement
Ontario launch: 2022
Checked 31 July 2026
What works
- Registered operator entity is named and traceable: BetMGM Canada Inc.
- Listed on the iGaming Ontario operator directory as holding an iGO operating agreement
- Dedicated Ontario domain (betmgm.ca) rather than a global site with a province switch
- Runs a public affiliate programme that states Ontario as an accepted market, so commercial terms are documentable
What does not
- Two AGCO monetary penalties on the public record for advertising and inducement breaches (C$48,000 in 2022; C$110,000 in March 2025)
- Ontario lobby is geo-gated, so we could not read the published banking or game detail from outside the province
- Game counts, withdrawal timeframes and support hours are not published in the sources we verified

Promotions
Welcome offers
Any welcome offer is shown on the operator's own site after sign-up.
We do not publish operator promotions on this site, and neither does any other compliant Ontario affiliate. Under the AGCO Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming, inducements, bonuses and credits may be advertised on an operator’s own gaming site or in direct marketing a player has actively consented to receive — not on a public comparison page. Our explainer on how welcome offers work in Ontario sets out what the standards say, why the rule exists and how to read a set of terms once you can see them on the operator’s site.
Ontario only, 19+. SlotScroll covers the regulated Ontario market. You must be 19 or older and physically located in Ontario to play with an operator registered by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Gambling is adult entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money. Free, confidential help is available 24/7 from ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600, or text CONNEX to 247247. † Several Ontario lobbies are geo-fenced, which is correct behaviour for a regulated product and also means their published detail is not readable from outside the province. Rather than repeat an unsourced figure from an aggregator, we mark the row as unpublished and re-check it on the next cycle.
Verification
The URL check
We resolved betmgm.ca on 31 July 2026. The request returned HTTP 200 but was redirected to BetMGM's geolocation gate, which is the correct behaviour for a geo-fenced Ontario product and also means we could not read the Ontario lobby from outside the province. We therefore publish no game counts, banking detail or support hours for this brand.
Affiliate relationship
BetMGM runs a public affiliate programme that names Ontario as an accepted market, so the commercial relationship an affiliate would have here is documentable — which matters, because AGCO Standard 1.19 makes the operator answerable for what its affiliates publish.
How we checked
We matched the brand to its registered entity on the iGaming Ontario operator directory, re-fetched the Ontario URL and recorded the redirect chain, read the AGCO and trade-press records of both monetary penalties, confirmed the April 2022 launch, and checked the affiliate programme's stated markets. Everything the operator does not publish is marked unpublished rather than estimated, and no promotional term appears anywhere in this review.
Every review on this site follows the same six-criteria framework, described in full in our rating methodology. Scores are set by the named reviewer and signed off by the editor-in-chief. Commission arrangements play no part in them.
Before you open an account
Registration is a floor, not a recommendation. Confirm you are 19 or older and in Ontario, set a deposit limit before you fund the account rather than after, read the operator’s own terms on its own site, and remember that every game on it has a negative expected return. If any part of this stops feeling like a choice, ConnexOntario answers free of charge on 1-866-531-2600, at any hour.
Safer gambling commitment
Ten rules we would give a friend
We publish comparison content, which means we are part of the marketing chain, and in Ontario that makes us answerable to the same standards as the operators we list. So: no urgency, no “last chance”, no suggestion that gambling replaces income, and no inducement of any kind on any public page of this site.
- Decide what the evening is worth to you before you deposit, and treat it as the price of entertainment.
- Set a deposit limit in the account settings on day one, before you have a reason to raise it.
- Never gamble with money committed to rent, food, credit repayments or savings.
- Do not chase a loss. Adding money to recover money is the single most reliable route to a bigger loss.
- Keep a time limit as well as a money limit, and use the operator’s reality-check reminders.
- Do not gamble to change how you feel, and never while drinking or using drugs.
- Understand that RTP is a long-run average and that no session, streak or system changes the house edge.
- Take the winnings out. Withdraw rather than recycle, and read any promotional terms on the operator’s own site in full before you accept them.
- Use a timeout or self-exclusion the moment gambling stops feeling like a choice.
- Talk to someone. ConnexOntario, a GP or a friend — free confidential support is available 24/7.
