About

About SlotScroll

We are an independent register of the casino operators registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and holding an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario. We do not accept wagers, hold player funds or operate games. Our only product is information, and the only thing that makes it worth anything is that it is accurate.

Our working method, in one picture: the regulator's directory and the operator's own published material, read line by line and cross-checked against the source before anything reaches a table.

Who we are

SlotScroll is a small editorial team of three. We read the iGaming Ontario operator directory, the AGCO Registrar's Standards for Internet Gaming, corporate registrations and operators' own published material, and we turn them into tables a reader can act on. We write for adults in Ontario who have already decided to play and want to know which company is actually behind a brand, whether it is properly registered, and what it is willing to state in public.

We cover Ontario only. Ontario is the single Canadian province with a competitive market of privately run operators: since 4 April 2022 a private operator has needed registration with the AGCO and an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario to take bets here legally. Everywhere else in Canada, regulated online play runs through a provincial lottery corporation, so there is no register of competing operators for us to publish.

Ontario only, 19+. SlotScroll covers the regulated Ontario market. You must be 19 or older and physically located in Ontario to play with an operator registered by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Gambling is adult entertainment with a cost, not a way to make money. Free, confidential help is available 24/7 from ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600, or text CONNEX to 247247. The regulator’s own player help page is at iGaming Ontario.

Why there are no offers on this site

Because the rules that govern us do not permit them. AGCO Standard 2.05 restricts the advertising and promotion of gambling inducements, bonuses and credits to an operator's own gaming site or to direct marketing a player has actively consented to receive; Standard 2.06 bars calling anything free or risk-free when it is not; and Standard 1.19 makes the registered operator answerable for the conduct of anyone marketing on its behalf, affiliates included. The regulator enforces this: BetMGM Canada was fined C$48,000 in 2022 and C$110,000 in March 2025 for advertising sign-up inducements, and DraftKings' Ontario entity was fined C$100,000 in June 2022. So every public page here carries factual attributes instead, and one sentence pointing you to the operator's own site. Our explainer on how welcome offers work in Ontario sets out the standards in full.

Why trust us

  • Every claim has a named source. Registered entity names, registration status, Ontario launch years, affiliate arrangements, enforcement history and RTP figures come from the iGaming Ontario directory, AGCO material, operators' own sites, provider documentation or dated trade reporting.
  • We print our own failures. We re-fetch every operator URL on each cycle and publish the HTTP result beside the brand, including the four checks that did not succeed from our location this time: two geo-gates, one server error and one bot block.
  • We mark what we could not verify. Where an operator publishes no game count, payout timeframe or support hours that we can cite, the row says so. An honest gap is more useful than a confident guess, and several Ontario lobbies are correctly geo-fenced against us.
  • Ranking is not for sale. The order of our tables is produced by the six-criteria framework below. The clearest evidence is that our top-ranked operator carries the two AGCO penalties that hold its regulatory score down, and our lowest-ranked one carries the largest single penalty on the record.
  • No urgency, ever. No countdowns, no “last chance”, no suggestion that gambling produces income, and no inducement of any kind on any public page.

Methodology

The six criteria

Every operator is scored out of five against six weighted criteria that add to 100. Scores are set by the named reviewer, reviewed by the editor-in-chief, and are not for sale.

25%

Registration & regulatory standing

Whether the operator is registered with the AGCO, appears on the iGaming Ontario directory, and which corporate entity holds that registration. Public AGCO monetary penalties count against this score.

20%

Transparency of published information

How much the operator states plainly before you register: the entity, the Ontario scope, the age rule, the terms of play. Anything a reader cannot check without opening an account costs marks.

15%

Banking & payout information

Whether deposit methods, withdrawal timeframes and identity-verification expectations are published at all. Unpublished payout detail costs marks; we do not fill the gap with an estimate.

15%

Game range & studios

Whether the library and the studios behind it are documented, and whether live-dealer tables are present. Consistency between the operator’s own numbers and other sources matters here.

15%

Responsible-gambling tooling

Deposit limits, loss limits, timeouts, self-exclusion and reality checks — how few clicks it takes to find them, and whether the ConnexOntario contact is displayed as the standards require.

10%

Support & accessibility

Contact channels and hours, language coverage, and how usable the Ontario product is on a phone and with assistive technology.

Weightings are fixed across all operators. Where an operator does not publish a figure, it loses marks on transparency rather than receiving an assumed value. Promotional generosity is not a criterion: we do not see, rank or publish offers. Full detail in our editorial methodology.

How a review is produced

  1. Directory match. We identify the registered corporate entity and confirm it appears on the iGaming Ontario operator directory as holding an operating agreement. If it is not there, it is not listed here, whatever it pays.
  2. URL verification. We fetch the operator's Ontario-facing URL ourselves, record the status code and the final address after redirects, and publish that result — success or failure — on the page.
  3. Published-material read. The reviewer records what the operator states publicly about banking, games, tooling and support, and marks everything it does not state as unpublished.
  4. Enforcement check. We search the public record for AGCO monetary penalties against the brand and its entity, and cite the dated report where one exists.
  5. Scoring. The reviewer scores the six criteria out of five. Missing disclosure costs marks; it never earns an assumed value.
  6. Editorial sign-off. The editor-in-chief checks every registration claim against the source before publication and is named on the page as fact-checker.
  7. Scheduled re-verification. Operators join and leave the directory regularly. Each page carries the date it was checked — currently 31 July 2026 — and is re-checked on a rolling cycle.

How we make money

We are an affiliate publisher. When a reader opens an account with an operator through a link on this site, that operator may pay us a commission. The reader pays nothing extra, and whatever the operator makes available to a new customer is the same as it would be arriving directly.

Commercial arrangements are handled separately from editorial. Commission rates are not visible in the scoring process, no operator sees a review before publication, no operator can buy a position, a score or a “recommended” label, and no operator can require the removal of a criticism. Where we hold no commercial relationship with a brand we still cover it if it is registered and relevant — and where a link is an affiliate link, it is marked as one and carries rel="nofollow sponsored". Full detail is in our affiliate disclosure.

Editorial guidelines

  • No fact is published without a source that supports it.
  • Where sources conflict, the conservative value or the full range is published, with a verification date.
  • No inducement, promotional amount, credit or spin count appears on any public page, in line with AGCO Standards 2.05 and 2.06.
  • No language that presents gambling as income, easy, guaranteed or risk-free; no urgency devices; no depiction of anyone who could be under 25.
  • Responsible-gambling messaging, the 19+ and Ontario-location rule, and the ConnexOntario contact appear on every page carrying operator content, as Standards 2.08 and 2.09 require.
  • Regulatory positions are cited to the AGCO's or iGaming Ontario's own published material wherever possible, and labelled as secondary reporting when they are not.
  • Corrections are made promptly and are visible: the byline, fact-checker and verification date on each page tell you who is accountable and when it was last checked.

Fact-checking, updates and corrections

Every page shows an author, a fact-checker and a last-updated date, and every page carrying operator content shows the date its facts were checked. Our re-verification cycle prioritises registration status and operator URLs, because those change most often; RTP figures are re-checked against provider documentation less frequently, since providers change certified values rarely.

If you find an error — a registration that has lapsed, an operator that has left the directory, a helpline number that no longer answers — write to [email protected]. Corrections to factual claims are made as soon as we can verify the new information, and the page's verification date is updated when they are.

How this list is put together

SlotScroll lists an operator only if it is registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and appears on the iGaming Ontario operator directory as holding an operating agreement with iGO. List last checked 31 July 2026.

Operator list last checked 31 July 2026. Every Ontario URL is re-fetched on each cycle and the result is printed beside the brand, including the checks that failed.

Contact

Editorial, corrections and complaints: [email protected].
Commercial and partnership enquiries: [email protected].
Privacy requests: [email protected].

We are an information publisher, not a gambling operator, and we cannot access, close, credit or investigate an account held with any operator. Account disputes must be raised with the operator first. If that does not resolve matters, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario regulates the operator's conduct and iGaming Ontario holds its operating agreement.

Editorial team

Who writes this site

Three named people are accountable for every figure published here. Corrections go to [email protected].

Elena Marchetti

Editor-in-chief · Registration status and regulatory compliance

Elena leads SlotScroll' editorial standards and signs off every registration claim before publication. She checks each operator against the iGaming Ontario directory and the AGCO Registrar's Standards, and she owns the rule that this publication never states a figure a named source cannot support — and never publishes an inducement of any kind.

Daniel Okonkwo

Senior reviews writer · Operator entities, banking detail and payout reporting

Daniel traces the corporate entity behind each Ontario-facing brand, records what the operator does and does not publish about banking and payouts, and re-checks every Ontario URL on each verification cycle. He writes the factual attribute tables and marks anything unpublished as unverified rather than estimating it.

Priya Raman

Responsible-gambling and player-safety editor · Player protection tools, RTP and game mathematics

Priya maintains our responsible-gambling hub and the ConnexOntario signposting, and audits how easily deposit limits, timeouts and self-exclusion can be found inside each operator's account settings. She also verifies slot RTP figures against provider documentation, including the certified low-RTP variants operators are allowed to deploy.

Safer gambling commitment

Ten rules we would give a friend

We publish comparison content, which means we are part of the marketing chain, and in Ontario that makes us answerable to the same standards as the operators we list. So: no urgency, no “last chance”, no suggestion that gambling replaces income, and no inducement of any kind on any public page of this site.

  1. Decide what the evening is worth to you before you deposit, and treat it as the price of entertainment.
  2. Set a deposit limit in the account settings on day one, before you have a reason to raise it.
  3. Never gamble with money committed to rent, food, credit repayments or savings.
  4. Do not chase a loss. Adding money to recover money is the single most reliable route to a bigger loss.
  5. Keep a time limit as well as a money limit, and use the operator’s reality-check reminders.
  6. Do not gamble to change how you feel, and never while drinking or using drugs.
  7. Understand that RTP is a long-run average and that no session, streak or system changes the house edge.
  8. Take the winnings out. Withdraw rather than recycle, and read any promotional terms on the operator’s own site in full before you accept them.
  9. Use a timeout or self-exclusion the moment gambling stops feeling like a choice.
  10. Talk to someone. ConnexOntario, a GP or a friend — free confidential support is available 24/7.

If gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, call ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600 — free, confidential and 24/7, in more than 170 languages. You can also text CONNEX to 247247, use the service’s web chat, or start from iGaming Ontario’s player help page.
